First fishing in Kamigoto Yamada

上五島で初釣り 山田

For the first fishing of Reiwa 6, I went fishing to Kamigoto in mid-January aiming for largescale blackfish.
I boarded the Hamamoto Fishing Center's Aqua Liner, which is anchored at Nishihama Port in Hirado City, Nagasaki Prefecture, and set sail. Within about 45 minutes, I reached a fishing spot off the coast of Ojika.

During the cold gray season before spawning in the Goto Islands, there is a tendency for gray fish to be caught with a little more than 1 to 2 deep fishing rods rather than feeding on shallow fish, so the bait spread is sloped from the upper layer to the lower layer. Finishing it like this is a shortcut to fishing results.

The bait I use is Hirokyu's krill diagonal. This krill is extremely fresh and has a small size, so it can be used for fishing, so even if the fish eat it, they tend to use their mouths without feeling uncomfortable. In order to increase the activity, we added Ami half-width and mixed GMAX and Bakuhi...We created a bait that can flexibly respond to the ever-changing gray tana.

I stuck Namaikikun PRO's medium size into the hook and casted the rig directly into the offshore tide. Using a ladle, hold the chum lightly and break it up while throwing it from a long distance...it's a true "explosion" effect. With 2 rods full depth, 35-40cm largescale blackfish were caught one after another. After that...the current gradually slowed down and the activity of the fish plummeted. Even if you hit it in the lower layer with less than 2 rods length, the hook will come off frequently. Therefore, taking advantage of the characteristics of ``Bakuhtobi'' and ``GMAX'', I spread the bait from less than one rod and casted it with a ladle. Also, when I changed the bait to Ami-zuke Mukimi to create a situation where it was easy for the largescale blackfish to prey on it, I got successive hits of 45cm-sized ones.
