Fishing for largescale blackfish in Yonouzu, May Aso

5月の米水津のグレ 麻生

On May 11th, I went to Yonouzu to preview the tournament.
Masashinmaru headed towards Okiguro, winding around a bit. After dropping three people off at Senjo, we made a U-turn towards Jiguro.
We went up to Wakasa in Kisimegisaki.

There was a blast blowing from the south, but I was able to fish with a rod from the harbor, where is faced to Nagabutobae.
My fishing friends who are preparing for the black porgy tournament decided to aim for black porgy from the Kisimegizaki side.

Due to the unstable depth, the blend materials used are ``Bakutobi'' and ``Grezero''.with a combination of "Seiha madai". For the bait, when I think of Yonouzu, I think of shrimp meat. I used "Ami-zuke Mukimi"as the main ingredient, and also sprinkled "Nama Iki-kun PRO" with a blended material and left to rest.

Since I had to throw the chum into the wind from the front, I added a lot of "Gure Z" in the finished chum,to strengthen the cohesiveness. Although it's blown away by the wind,I can cast it just where I want to.

The rising tide flowing towards Tsurumisaki has no force and almost stops offshore, with bubbles coming out from everywhere. I tried using a No. 4 float on fluorocarbon for about 0 rods, including a medium-sized trace, and using no split shots, keeping the shallow water in mind.

While attaching and removing the G7 depending on how familiar the bait was, I was able to catch blackfish of just under 40cm one by one.
A satisfying catch with striped horse mackerel mixed in as well. The light chum matched the rig I chose.I think it led to a good catch. As expected, shrimp meat was the most useful bait.

Next, on May 24th, a two-day tournament will be held in the Yonouzu area.
I was lucky to win both competitions. With the image of a preliminary fishing trip, I used the same chum and bait.

Wearing number 4 on the first boat, we landed at Kannon off the coast of Tobanse.
In the first half, I had the last priority in selecting a fishing seat, and was at the end of the camel side.
The swells were so bad that the tip and back of the boat were unusable, so four of us lined up from the harbor to start.
The first half ended with almost no bait taken. In the second half, I had priority. I wasn't able to decide between the harbor or the back side, both at which the fish were caught, I relied on the trivial knowledge that when the weather is rough, the back is better and choose the back. At the edge of big bubbles,I attacked slowly but had no results.

As a result, there were some catches near the harbor in the second half as well, with 7 largescale black fish being kept, and 5 fish weighing over 4kg.It was ranked 2nd place. It was a great catch.
The best place that day was Nishi no Hana, which had over 5k and said to have increased its fishing results with appearing largescale blackfish.
3rd place goes to Oshite Obae, which is also over 4k. The shape was good.

On the second day, May 25th, the number was different, but it was also the 4th turn of the first ship. Two people are dropped off at Kinalbae,We went to Marubae. The usual combination of blended materials is used. Based on the information of the prize winners from the previous day,I heard that peeled shrimp is effective, so I additionally prepared ``Ami-zuke Mukimi'' and tried it.

In contrast to the day before, there was a blast from the northwest. I had no priority in the first half,I went to Tsurumisaki side. I couldn't adjust the rig by using the blast from behind and the swell, I gave up on my usual rig and tried using a two-stage float. Even when I thought I've settled in well,Two and a half hours passed without any bait being taken. With 30 minutes left in the first half, I finally got a pick,When I waited for the fish to dig in and match the timing, I got a pull that I was wating for. What rose was a largescale blackfish with a size of the sole of my foot.
After that, I added a largescale blackfish in the same pattern and the first half ended.

In the second half, I couldn't decide whether to attack the ground side carefully or not, but based on my experience from the previous day, I decided to go to the point with the better catches.I tried to catch in the blast and bubbles, but I couldn't decide on the target, and ended up not being able to improve my fishing results. .

Even though I had heard that there were many fish, I could not catch any at Kirunabae, and it was a tragic situation, with only two fish caught by me on board.

In Shuji Tanaka's review of the tournament, he said that the water temperature had dropped by 1 degree, which may have been an effect.
There was also a blank ship, and the second day ended up being quite poor compared to the previous day.

It's easy to fish in Yonouzu as there are no bait stealers yet, so it's a good opportunity to practice various things.

Everyone please try the challenge using “Ami-zuke mukimi”!
