March 8: New addition of long-tailed greenfish 64cm Shinmasu

3月8日尾長グロ64cm 新増

On March 8th, I went fishing for long-tailed greenfish at the offshore rocks of Tajiri Fishing Port in Minami Osumi-cho, Kimotsuki-gun, Kagoshima Prefecture.
We set sail on the Tsurumaru's second trip at 7:30 a.m. in light rain. I was taken to an unnamed rock on the west side. It was the first time I had ever cast my rod there.
The place where I cast my rod for the first time.
The ground bait is two bags of Great Gure, one bag of Bakutobi Master Gure, and three blocks of raw krill. I make it in two batches, one for the first half and one for the second half.
To make it, first add one bag of Great Gure and half a bag of Bakutobi Master Gure, then mix until evenly combined.
Great Gure is a blend of materials for greenfish that was released last fall and offers the best cost performance.
It's a high-class base bait that is suitable for use from the top to bottom layers, containing more than 20 types of rich ingredients such as yellow barley, green barley (small grain), red breadcrumbs, coarse breadcrumbs, oyster shells, calcium, soybean lees, etc. It has a gentle fruit scent.

The Bakutobi Master Gure has outstanding control and super long throw power, allowing it to fly to places that were previously inaccessible.
It can be quickly and easily blended with krill using a small amount of seawater (approximately 300cc).
The highly balanced blend of fine powders has excellent diffusibility in the ocean, spreading out in a slope to attract greenfish.
The content is about 3.0kg, so it's very voluminous. It's a lot, so you can scatter it around.
Even in the rain like today, the chunks fly away without crumbling.
When fishing close up, I can spread the bait horizontally by twisting the wrist holding the bait ladle or spread it vertically by holding the cup above my head and quickly lowering my wrist.
Next, about the krill, with an eye on long-tailed largescale blackfish and pufferfish which are common when the water temperature is low, I did not crush the blocks and leaving in their original shape, just loosened, and then gently mixed with the blending materials.
Add a small amount of seawater and mix just the top half of the bucket and it's done.
The moisture in the lower half of the bucket will be adjusted later so that it can withstand rain and splashes from waves.

The bait used is Namaiki-kun for PRO and Sashi-esa PRO.
"forPRO" from the "Namaiki-kun" series is a soft type of bait that is made using a new manufacturing method that gives it a bouncy, transparent texture and is designed to encourage fish to eat.
Although it is a soft type, it inherits the ease of use of "Namaiki-kun", such as the hook insertion feeling and prevention of the hook coming off.
It's an economical twin pack. Available in 2L and L sizes, use according to the size of the hook. When black porgy is not biting, use Sashiesa PRO. Only carefully selected offshore shrimp are vacuum packed.
It is the bait that is closest to live krill.
When the fish are really reluctant to bite, gently peel them and use the flesh.
If the quality is poor, the bait will fall apart when peeling and become unusable, but Hirokyu's Sashiesa PRO is a product that only Hirokyu can offer, with a dedicated freezer and processing plant for krill, and it is made with the utmost emphasis on quality, and under strict temperature control, so the bait will not fall apart when peeling.
At 11:30 a.m., as the tide began to recede from high water, I had a great shock.
For details on how to fish and how to handle the fish, please see Weekly Fishing News Western Edition.
Thanks to them, I caught a 64cm long-tailed greenfish just before noon. I broke my personal record.
"I got it!" I roared.
The next day, on March 9th, I measured it again at 7am.
It had shrunk to 61-62cm.
It weighs 3.3 kg, there are about two finger-sized eggs in its belly, and it looks like it will be a while before it lays eggs.

Fishing for long-tailed largescale blackfish (long-tailed greenfish) at Cape Sata has just begun, with the peak season coming up in May.
Why not try breaking your own record with Hirokyu items?
