[HIROKYU Fan Club East Kyushu Inaugural Event: 1st Fishing Tournament] Takahashi
The "Hirokyu Fan Club Inauguration Commemorative Tournament," which was scheduled to be held from April, has been cancelled.
However, due to bad weather, the event was postponed twice, and the third time it was held, we approached it with the hope that "this time for sure."
Once again, some members who had planned to participate were unable to do so due to changes in the schedule and other factors.
I am deeply sorry to everyone who was looking forward to it.
The venue for the long-awaited and memorable first tournament was the area around Okikuroshima Island in Yonezu, Oita Prefecture. Eight participants each landed on a rocky outcrop and the competition began.
However, the weather, which had initially been forecast to be cloudy, suddenly changed. From around 9 a.m., there was torrential rain with hourly rainfall of 15-30 mm, accompanied by strong winds and lightning, creating extremely dangerous conditions.
Prioritizing the safety of the participants, we decided to cancel the competition at 9:30 a.m. and conduct an emergency recovery.
Despite the limited competition time, several sea bream over 40cm were caught, resulting in an impressive catch even under challenging conditions.

The event was postponed from April, and then faced bad weather on the day of the event, so it was by no means a smooth start.
However, thanks to all of you, the Hirokyu Fan Club East Kyushu has been able to take its memorable first step.
Hirokyu will continue to operate while cherishing the joy of fishing, the bonds of friendship, and safety as our top priority.
