"Black Sea Bream Dance Test" Hanado

We headed to Matsubara Beach Pier in Aira City for a test fishing trip to bring you the newly released "Kurodai Ranbu" lure!

Since it's a medium-density, shallow-water bait, I chose a shallow fishing spot this time. I mixed two 2.5kg bags of Kurodai Ranbu with 1.5kg of Kizamikko. I added seawater frequently so that I could cast it far.

Fishing started at 6:30 AM. First, I cast about 30 scoops to create a fishing spot. The bait held together well and came off the scoop easily. I was drenched in sweat from the sun... I took a break to rehydrate and catch my breath.

On my third cast, I dropped my rig, reeled in the slack line, and took a sip of water. "Gulp! Gulp!" I was gulping down the cold water when the line was suddenly pulled taut, and I felt a bite. I quickly regained my balance. It must have risen to the shallows. The hooked sea bream darted around powerfully in the shallows. It put up a good fight for its size, making the battle enjoyable.

It was only about 35cm, but I was relieved to have caught my first one.

It was 9:30 AM, high tide had passed, and the tide was starting to ebb. The bites from the black sea bream increased, and we were able to catch some in the shallow waters, including some smaller ones.

The lure has excellent visibility, and the diffusion and sinking parts, which are characteristic of the "Black Sea Bream Dance" lure, are working well. I was lucky enough to catch some halfbeaks along the way. I'm looking forward to my evening drink tonight!

The best time for fishing and the fun times passed by in an instant... I packed up my gear when I caught my last pufferfish.

The lingering summer heat is still intense, so please be careful to avoid heatstroke.

"Kurodai Ranbu" will be released on September 17th. It is very effective for catching black sea bream in shallow waters or near the surface, so why not give it a try!
