"Catching kiss fish with Pokebait at Fukiagehama Beach" - Hanado

On August 31st, I headed to Fukiagehama Beach to try my luck at catching Japanese whiting using "Pokeisome earthworms" as bait. It's one of Japan's three largest sand dunes, stretching 47km from Ichikikushikino City in the north to Hioki City and Minamisatsuma City – the longest sand dune in Japan. Facing the East China Sea, the magnificent scenery truly liberates both body and soul…

The exhilarating feeling of casting your line with all your might into the vast ocean is irresistible! It's incredibly fun. You observe the changes in the waves and the shading of the sea surface to search for fish near the shore and further out. The feeling of walking barefoot along the waterline searching for schools of fish is one of the unique pleasures of fishing for Japanese whiting.

The renewed version has even better hold and a worm-like texture. I was surprised to learn that it's made from 100% food-grade ingredients. It's environmentally friendly.

I attached Pokeisome and Pokemimizu to five hooks alternately and aimed for the target, and I was lucky enough to catch five carp streamers on my very first cast!

The sea conditions must have been good. After that, the fish were very active and kept getting hooked, with 4 and 3 fish caught at once.

There were times when we were facing a headwind and the seawater was murky, but we managed to catch 47 fish in about two hours.

I took it home and made tempura with it, which my family and I enjoyed.

If you're still looking to enjoy surf fishing for Japanese whiting, why not try the Pokebait series' "Pokeisome Earthworms"?
