"Autumn Rainy Season Gure" by Shun

With fishing trips proving difficult due to typhoons and rain, I contacted the "Koumaru" boat in Akime, and they informed me that they could depart for a specific spot that day.
We left the port before 6 a.m. and disembarked at a place called "Tengu" near the border with Kushi.
This is the spot where we had good luck catching Japanese sea bream last year while night fishing.
On this day, I was targeting large longtail snapper and used boiled krill as my main bait, blending it with 'G-MAX' and 'White Power Plus'.
For bait, I prepared "Makie no Boiled" and "Namaiki-kun for PRO".

When I scattered the chum, there were many bait stealers, and the current slowly drifted to the right.
Apparently, the standard strategy at this spot is to aim for the left-hand side of the wand, as the current flows to the left.
However, there was white water rising from the shore and a current line offshore, creating a great atmosphere.
When I explored the end of the white sand in front of me, I caught a series of parrotfish and small longtail tuna.
When the tide slackened, I tried targeting the submerged rocks visible on the cove side directly, and I got a bite!
But it didn't work...
After several suspicious bites, I switched from "Okiami Boil" to "Namaiki-kun for PRO" and targeted the same spot, and the float sank rapidly—a hit!
With a heavy pull, and using heavy tackle, I forcefully reeled it in and landed a 44cm black sea bream in the net!
I'm relieved that I was able to bring back souvenirs.
As expected from "Namaiki-kun for PRO," the penetration is outstanding!
After that, I continued targeting the area around the reef and caught another black sea bream.
In the end, I didn't catch the longtail snapper I was aiming for, and had to pack up my gear...
I used longtail tuna tackle throughout the day again this time, but the black sea bream were still very active and took the heavy tackle.
If you seriously target black sea bream, you're likely to have a great time catching both a good number and large ones!
