"Black sea bream, Greenfish, Kajiki fishing port, Aira City" Hanado
On May 9th, I went fishing for black sea bream at Kajiki Fishing Port in Aira City.
Based on the Soko-zeme Zudon chum, this time I've selected the Nama-sanagi Kurodai chum. Not only does it cast far, but it also has excellent fish-attracting power because it's packed with ingredients that sea bream love, such as colored wheat, raw silkworm pupae, and oyster shells.
I started fishing at 6 am. After about 40 minutes, I managed to catch a small black sea bream, about 30cm long. I was aiming for a bigger one, but I started catching foot-sized fish with every cast, which made things difficult...
So, I cast the chum bait into the spot, waited a while, and then cast the rig slightly upstream.
After letting the rig drift for a while, I get a bite that snatches the line away. "I got one!" This thrilling moment is incredibly fun.
It takes off with great force as soon as it's hooked, and the characteristic head-shaking of a black sea bream provides an enjoyable fight.
I managed to catch the longest fish of the day, measuring 36cm. After that, I struggled with juvenile rabbitfish stealing my bait, but by rotating my bait, I finally managed to encounter a black sea bream.
During a brief lull when the bait stealers had calmed down, I managed to catch a 39cm greenfish. I was surprised by the nice size of this unexpected guest!
At 10 AM, the stringer was full with 6 fish, so I decided to pack up my gear.
I'm looking forward to trying my luck at catching greenfish during the rainy season!
