"Black Sea Bream of Kinko Bay" by Shun
Location: Ryugamizu (Osakibana)
Date and time: 4 24 (7:00-16:00)
Neap tide low 6:48 - high 11:49
This time, I headed to Osaki-bana in Ryugamizu, Kinko Bay, to target spring black sea bream. This spot has good tidal flow and a proven track record of catching large red sea bream. The downside is that you can no longer park your car nearby, so you have to park far away and walk a long distance, but it's an attractive rocky shore with a proven track record.
To create weight and turbidity in the chum, I blended "Bottom Attack Zudon" and "Chinu Smoke Screen."
As the attached bait
Prepare "Namaiki-kun for PRO", "Sashiesa PRO Boil", and "Mecha Kuu Corn".
Fishing Rig
Main line 1.7号, leader 2, float 00, sea bream hook size 3, no float stopper
First, I tried targeting sea bream by letting two rods drift with the tide flowing from the shallows to the deeper waters, but I didn't get any bites...
Is it because I'm not in sync with Makie properly?
I tried switching to a 000 float and a semi-free-running sinking rig, but to no avail.
I switched to a 1.5lb leader and a size 1 sea bream hook, and when I explored the area near my feet, I finally got a bite that felt promising!
A 30cm sea bream was easily brought up, followed by a powerful bite from a large parrotfish.
afternoon
A gentle current flows towards the shallows, so we'll focus our attention on the black sea bream in the shallows.
As you put the rig in
HIT!
The fish I caught in the net was a 38cm black sea bream. I was relieved to finally catch the fish I had been aiming for.
After that, I tried the same technique but didn't get any bites, so I packed up my gear.
Incidentally, the bait that worked was boiled
The size of the fish wasn't great, but I enjoyed fishing for black sea bream in Kinko Bay.
