Fishing for greenfish in Funama, Hachigase, Osumi Peninsula! Sakawa

大隅半島、船間、ハチガセでクロ釣り! 酒匂

December 8th, Osumi PeninsulaI went fishing for black porgy on Funama and Jimimaru.

Initially, we had planned to go to Torishima reef number 4, but we had to give up due to the swell!

The next one to arrive at the reef was Hachigase!

The footing is poor and I've never had a good experience in this rapids, so I wonder what will happen?

This time, the swell washed away my bucket and other things, and when I tried to retrieve the black porgy that I had been keeping alive in the tight pool, I slipped and my boots got soaked, and to make matters worse, I cut my hand on an oyster. It was a terrible experience!

As for the catch, despite there being a lot of bait-eating sea bream, barracuda and Japanese smelt, I managed to keep five.

At this time of year, fishing results are sluggish in the daytime and rapids, but there was one spot where we caught several fish over 50cm, and there was a rapid that filled our coolers, so I wonder if we'll be able to get a good catch once the water temperature drops and stabilizes.

On the 30th, there will be a fishing tournament at Funama Aitsuumi, so I would like to revisit it.
