"Long-tailed greenfish of Cape Sata" shun

『佐多岬の尾長グレ』shun

Location: Tajiri (Ushikagayama)

Date and time: June 20 (11:30-17:00)

Wakashio 08:37 to 15:12

This time to Sata Cape Tajiri

I was taken care of by the ferry "Tsurumaru."

We set sail at 6:30 and landed at Ushikagayama.

Looking out to sea, there was a " reef " on the left and a " sunken reef " on the right that extended out to sea, and this was the spot where I fish.

My companion set up his fishing spot on the left side where the boat docked, while I aimed for the inlet on the far right.

The ground bait used was a blend of "Great Gure" and "White Power Plus 2" with an emphasis on long-distance casting and shallow depths.

The bait I prepared was "Large size Namaikikun for PRO," "Half-boiled Namaikikun," and "Pickled Peeled Shrimp."

I started with the rig which has main line 1.7, leader 2, float G5 fully floating, onaga hook No. 7

When I spread the ground bait, I caught a lot of stripey and damselfish.

I threw bait into the bubbles at my feet and was searching for a gap in the bubbles when I felt a rod pulling bite.

The fish I was most looking forward to that day was a strong pull that gave me a lot of fun... a mackerel tuna! It is the most delicious fish.

The tide continues to flow into the back of the lagoon.

It would be a fun spot during the cold season for catching greenfish, but despite trial and error, I couldn't catch anything...

I decided to move to the front side

I gathered some bait eaters at my feet and cast far out to the offshore sunken reef area, using a size 0 float without a sinker, and was catching at a 2-rod depth when...all of a sudden, the float disappeared and I got a hit!

Quite a strong pull!

I got a 40cm long-tailed greenfish.

As the sun rises, bait eaters swarm out to sea, making the situation quite tough.

After 2pm, when the tide went out, the current rip came closer.

I took a break from fishing for a while and aimed directly at the offshore current rip, and the hovering float accelerated and I got a hit!

Judging from the feel, I was sure it was a long-tailed greenfish.

The leader is size 1.5 and the hook is size 6, so I had to be careful when handling it.

Finally, I caught a 45cm longtail greenfish in the dip net! Lucky me!

After that, it was time to call it a day.

The "pickled shrimp" I used this time sinks quickly and was very useful in preventing bait stealing.

As a result, I only caught one thick-mouthed greenfish. I wonder if the water temperature is still high?

We look forward to the future.
