"Preparing for the Grape Season" by Kamikihara

『グレシーズンに備えて』上木原

On November 3rd, it was getting quite cool, or rather chilly, in the mornings and evenings.

I started fishing for sea bream again last month, and in preparation for the full sea bream season, I went to Mokuzai Port in Kagoshima City to practice.

This time, we had a short battle using one corner of krill, one bag of Nori No Chikara, White Power Plus II, and 1kg of breadcrumbs.

The bait used was krill from the ground bait.

Fishing started around 7 o'clock.

You can catch goldfish at a depth of about 1 hiro from the very beginning of the morning.

However, it was quite difficult to catch a big one from the goldfish. When the tide was flowing relatively fast, I used bait in a place where the tide was coming in, and the float sank in nicely, and I finally caught a 27cm fish, which is a decent size for a pier-based sea bream.

I cast a few baits upstream. While checking the current, I cast the rig downstream, covered it with more bait, and waited for a few tens of seconds...it felt like the float was going to span.

White Power Plus II is a white fish attractant that goes well with breadcrumbs and increases visibility.

You can also easily see the flow of the tide and the ground bait when casting far.

it's recommended!

I was fishing for sea bream with a No. 0 black porgy rod to practice my handling technique, and today I caught my target sea bream, over 30cm! It tried to dive into the tetrapods at my feet, so when I tried to float it up, a 70-80cm grouper snatched it from below.

And two shots.

It's possible to manage up to a sea bream of just over 25cm, but once it's over 30cm it takes a long time to fight, and there's nothing you can do if the amberjack is waiting below.

Or rather, this is the first time a quest has appeared in today's location...

From now on I will be fishing with a fishing rod.

By around 10 o'clock, we had run out of bait, so we washed our fishing spot clean and called it a day.

Although the catch was mainly copperhead, it was a good one.
