November 8th, off Ikarashima Island, Nagashima Town, Kagoshima Prefecture, Maejima Beach, Aso

I went to Ikarajima Island, an area I'd never been to before, for a club tournament.
From Ikarakita Fishing Port, which is about a 20-minute drive across the Nagashima Bridge,
The 12th Shinyo Maru takes us from Ikarajima Island to the north area of Maejima.

The boat set sail at 6am with 12 club members and one general customer on board.

On the day, the east wind was strong and the main point on the east side could not be used.
So, the route was from the west side of Maejima to the west side of Shishijima.
The general customer landed at the southern tip of Maejima, then the two of us went a little further towards the bay.
Because it was a spring tide, most of the beach was submerged, so one person needed to move to a higher ground,
as the captain said. So, I climbed to a higher place.

As there are likely to be many fish farms in the area, the blend materials are
Ikki-ukase which contains fish meal, and then as usual, Bakutobi and Gure-zero.
I also used GureZ for adjustment.

The bait is Namaiki-kun for PRO and pickled shrimp.

The water is shallow for about one rod length, and you can see the bottom, which looks like pavement. In the deeper part, there is a floating buoy, which looks like a trap for spiny lobster fishing. This was a nuisance.

There were a lot of small greenfish in the close range, but not big enough to keep, so I cast further and got a few keepable sized ones. As the tide went down, they started to just take the bait, and I couldn't get any bites on long casts, so I changed to a rod float. I could clearly feel the subtle bites even from a distance. The top of the float didn't just sink in slowly and stay there, but rather it immediately rose up, and then after waiting a while, it sank again.

When I created tension on the second or third hit, the fish bite in, or just a bare needle remained.

In terms of size, there were occasionally some that were around 30cm among the sole-sized fish.

Although I lost them, I saw a greenfish over 35cm and a red sea bream with a full belly.
I had a lot of fun.

As for the bait, apart from the small greenfish, the keeping-sized ones only ate the pickled shrimp.

The fishing season is about to begin in earnest. Don't forget to bring pickled shrimp when you head out to the beach!
