"Rainy season greenfish in Kinko Bay"

『錦江湾の梅雨グレ』

Date and time: 6 20 (11:30-17:00)

Long tide low 8:20 - high 14:24

This time, I went on a rainy season greenfish fishing trip with Hirokyu field tester Shinmasu to a spot in the inner bay.

Even at high tide, the water is shallow enough not to even reach a fishing rod!

However, it seems that there are a lot of greenfish in this area, so there are high expectations.

The bait used is "Great Gure x 2 bags" divided into the first and second halves. It is a fish attractant that is well-organized and strong for long-distance casting.

The bait I used was a handful of krill that I mix into the bait, and a "Namaiki-kun for pro L size"

Just in case, we also prepared some dough bait.

The rig starts with a 1.7 main line, No. 2 line, G2 float, and No. 6 greenfish hook.

When we scattered the bait, lots of pufferfish and small greenfish, and some good-sized greenfish appeared near the bottom.

As per theory, I gathered the bait-eaters in front and tried fishing offshore, but there were no bites on the float searching at a depth of a rod, and the situation that the bait was just being taken has continued...

After 2pm, as the current to the right became stronger, the greenfish started to become more active...the float sank for a moment, and with the right hook, I caught a greenfish the size of the sole of my foot!

I was able to catch about one fish every four casts, but they weren't the best size.

I put down my rod and carefully observed the sea, and saw that a large fish was quickly diving into the bait!

Here we changed the tackle.

I used 1.7 size line, a lightweight hook, and a size 0 float without a sinker, placed inside the line and set the tide receiver 50 cm above the hook.

Cast the bait far.

When I casted the ground bait after the tackle and put the bait into the ground bait, the float slowly sinks and

HIT! Got a 35cm greenfish

Large fish will bite as soon as the bait settles in.

This strategy worked well and we got a lot of hits!!

Before we knew it, it was past 5pm and time to call it a day.

There were 5 fish over 30cm.

Practice fishing in shallow waters, how to reel in a good-sized fish...

It was a good experience.

It looks like you can still catch rainy season greenfish in Kinko Bay.
