Spring black porgy in Kinko Bay

Location: Kagoshima City, Hiramatsu Shrine
Date and time: February 20 (7:30-15:00)
Neap tide high 11:36 - low tide 19:10
This time, I went to the rocky shore below Hiramatsu Shrine on the way from Kagoshima City to Shigetomi, aiming for a good-sized black porgy in spring.
This is a popular fishing spot with a good track record for both black porgy and greenfish. There are large submerged rocks everywhere, so even if you hook a fish, if you don't fight it properly it will rush into the rocks and the line will break.
However, it is an attractive field with a high concentration of fish.
The bait used this time is "Sokozeme Zudon", which contains a lot of corn, oyster shells, and barley, blended with "Chinu Enmaku", which has good cohesion and high diffusibility. It is a highly recommended blend.
The main bait is ``Namaikikun Chinu'', and to prevent bait stealers we have prepared ``Semi-boiled Namaikikun'' and ``Meccha-kuu Corn''.
When I scattered the bait and observed the ocean, the water was murky and calm like a pond...
Start fishing with 1.7-size main line, 1.5-size leader, 0-size float, and 3-size chinu hook!
I tried to explore the deep sea offshore with a guide, but all I could catch were wrasses and rockfish...
I took a chance and cast my fishing gear in the shallow waters offshore, and caught a red sea bream about 30cm long! But I didn't catch any more...
After 1 p.m. the crosswinds got stronger, making it difficult to synchronize the tackle and the bait when sliding upwards.
After much trial and error, I decided to sink the float using a dense paste bait and let the line taut while letting it flow, and it worked perfectly, and I got a bite!
It was quite heavy, but unfortunately I lost it because I had cut the line to 1.2.
Increase the line to size 1.5 and cast it far out to sea in the same way.
I adjusted the line so that the paste bait matches the chum and let it flow.
I pulled the rod and got a bite! After a slow fight, the lure scraping against the rocks many times, I finally caught a 43cm black porgy!
After 4 p.m., when the wind died down, the rig
blended in the water easily, and I started catching red sea bream one after another while exploring the depths offshore with the ``Namaikikun Chinu''!
I got a nice souvenir.

This time, the specific gravity of the ``Meccha-kuu Corn'' helped us overcome the crosswinds.
I hope you find this useful!
