Late rainy season fishing trip for largescale blackfish Shun
Location: Tajiri (Kohirase)
Date and time: October 22 (10:00-15:00)
Mid-tide high tide 4:19 to low tide 11:15
Water temperature 26℃
This time, I went to Cape Sata Tajiri in search of largescale blackfish at the end of the rainy season, and was assisted by Tsurumaru.
Because of the strong southwest wind, I had planned to go fishing for largescale blackfish on the eastern rocky coast, but I headed for Kohira-se, where large ones are said to appear.
This time's ground bait is a blend of ``Bakutobi Master Gure'' and ``Hyper Gure Z'', aimed at ``highly active largescale blackfish'' during the rainy season, and is designed for long-distance casting and dispersion!
Mixing it thoroughly will increase the viscosity and make it easier to cast farther.
For the bait we have the "Namaikikun for pro L" which has good biting ability, the "Namaikikun Half Boiled L" to prevent bait stealers, and the "Namaikikun Crystal Hard" for super long distance casting.
First thing in the morning, I started fishing with a float size 0, a fishing line size 3, a fishing line size 4, and a long tail hook size 9.
The ebb tide is slowly moving to the right, and as I gather the bait stealers at my feet and search offshore, my bait was taken with every cast!
Although I managed to catch some sea chub and 50cm mackerel, I couldn't catch the main target...
Then I changed my target to largescale blackfish and tried again using No. 2 line and No. 5 long tail hook, and immediately got a hit!
However, the line broke due to a strong pull... After that, we lost two more fish and the morning was over.
When the tide rises, it flows to the left.So I changed my fishing spot and tried fishing with my full guide towards the tide heading towards the sunken reef on the left, and I got a bite at a depth of about one rod!
After a pleasant struggle I finally caught a 34cm largescale blackfish, and then using the same method I caught another one the size of a sole of a foot!
Towards the end, the waterway between the sinking reef and the river became a torrent, so I changed to a long-tail tackle and started searching through it.A strong hit!
However, the angle was bad and the line got tangled in the protruding current, causing a painful loss. Then, the next fish was lost in the same way...
This is where we finished fishing.
There were 5 misses that day!
I regret that I was unsure whether I should be manly and go all day with a thick rig, or just aim for a largescale blackfish.
But it was a nice place
It's a rapid that I'd like to ride again someday!
