In late October, I went fishing for sea bream on the rocks off Kasado Island in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Manufacturer-sponsored qualifying tournaments are often held in this area every autumn.
As part of our practice this time, my senior and I were assisted by the Sakaeyumaru Ferry, which departs from Imori Port.
The bait I used was a type that could be cast far and had volume.
The newly released Great Grey contains a variety of particles that give it a good sinking appeal, and when combined with the Bakutobi Master Grey it is effective for super long throws.

About 20 minutes after leaving the port.
The rocky shore where we went up was a good spot with good tidal flow called "Ryugu Cape."
Assuming the qualifying round, set a time and rotate fishing spots. Setting rules will make you feel more motivated even during practice.
First, when you put out the bait, the sea bream are so active that they create ripples, and when you combine the tackle and bait, you'll be able to catch 25 to 28 cm fish in a feeding frenzy.
From this we have to pick out the ones that are over 30 centimeters in size.
This time, I was successful in increasing the size of the fish by casting the bait beyond the bait that scattered out to sea when I cast it far, and by casting just one time into a space where there was not much bait.

After that, as we approached 12 o'clock, when the tide slackened, the fish became less active and the pace of bites slowed down.
From there, I didn't cast too far and instead focused on taking advantage of changes in the terrain and the distance at which the bait would remain, and instead caught a lot of fish.
The most popular bait for catching fish throughout the day was pickled peeled shrimp.
It was just the right hardness, making it easy to pass through, and I felt that the net's feeding effect helped to extend the time the sea bream held the bait in its mouth.

Even in November, you can still catch sea bream off Kasado Island and Tokuyama Bay. Fishing for small fish and then trying to catch bigger ones is addictive and game-like.
I encourage everyone to try fishing.
