Autumn black porgy capture shun

秋チヌ攻略 shun

Location: North Pier, Kagoshima City

Date and time: October 22 (10:00-15:00)

Mid-tide high tide 10:21 to low tide 16:04

This time, I went to North Pier, the port where the Sakurajima Ferry comes and goes, to go autumn black porgy fishing.

Actually, I was disappointed the last time I visited this place, but after getting some advice from a regular customer, I came back for revenge.

This place has been visited by anglers every day, so the fish are wary and only active black porgy will bite on thin line.
This time, I'll be imagining a delicate type of fishing, like cold-weather largescale blackfish!

The ground bait used is Hirokyu's new product "Kizamikko Raw Chrysalis", which contains a lot of corn and wheat, and is blended with "Soko-zeme Zudon", which has excellent long-distance casting ability.
"Kizamikko Raw Chrysalis" is a very useful bait when you want to add variety to your fishing, as you can use corn and pupas as bait.

For the bait, I have the other new products "Namaiki-kun Yellow" and "Namaiki-kun Chinu"

I mainly use "Namaiki-kun Chinu", and when the fish are not biting well, use "Namaiki-kun Yellow", and when I want to take measures against bait-stealing or want to add variety, use "Chrysalis and Corn".
I will rotate these four to attack.

Gimmick
Start with a size 0 float, size 1.5 line, size 1.2 line, and size 4 chinu hook.

It was raining heavily that day and the fishing spot was completely reserved.
Anticipating that the rain would make it difficult to cast the ground bait far, the strategy was to focus on using the ground bait in close range to attract fish.
Based on my previous experience, I cast 2 to 4 rod-full distance, targeting black porgy that floats to the bait, rather than black porgy that is on the bottom. (The water depth at the fishing spot is probably about one and a half rods deep.)
Then, about an hour after I started, the float suddenly disappeared and I got a hit!
But just before I could put the net in, I lost it.
Is the bite shallow?
As I continued fishing, adjusting the weight of the lead sinker and the size of the hook, I felt something strange in my hand. I slowly listened to the tip of the rod and felt something. Then I set the hook and got a hit.
Caught a 40cm black porgy!
It's really like cold weather fishing...
It is very interesting!

When the tide stopped, there were no bites, so I decided to try using cocoons and corn.
I was fishing with three pieces of corn on and got a bite pulling the rod, but it wasn't a hit.
Next time I decided to wait until it had completely run, and as I was attacking with the line taut... I got a bite! This time it was a solid hit with the hook hooked on the opposite side.

I thought maybe the corn easily activates the fish because the fish attractant also contains corns.

After that, I continued trial and error, rotating the bait and adding more fish.

As a result, I caught seven black porgy.
Revenge accomplished!
This was my first time using "Namaiki-kun Yellow" and the fish had a good reaction to it.
I wonder if it's particularly effective when it's raining or the water is murky?
I hope you find this useful!
