The annual battle against the heat, fishing for black porgy at Sakanoichi Ichimonji, a famous reef in the city.

It's the time of year that the Sakanoichi Ichimonji festival has begun, so the five of us had fun.
At this time of year, the floating black porgy does not float at all and can only be caught completely on the bottom.
Moreover, the size was not that great, with only three of the main target black porgy measuring up to 40 cm.
The other fish caught were the same size as the black porgy, totaling about 20 fish, as well as a good-sized sea bream and a red spotted grouper of about 50 cm.
We had a great time fishing in the heat until 15pm.
July 28th - Tate Ichimonji
This time there were only a few participants, so only three people went fishing.
Like last time, the shelf where you can catch black porgy is flat bottom, so the conditions were tough.
The main catch was a little bigger, but I couldn't catch more than three fish up to 46cm...
Next to me, a master black porgy fisherman was fishing with his rod out and caught 10 black porgy in a row, all of which he managed to catch!
We had a great time today until 15pm.
August 18th - No.6 Old Pier
This time, eight of us went to the old pier No. 6, which is a rare choice, to change our mood.
Many people were going for the first time, so everyone was excited from the morning, including me, who was going for the third or fourth time.
First, the eight of us decided on a spot, lined up, and were free to go inside or outside, and everyone was bending their rods from the first cast.
There seemed to be some variation in the locations, but everyone had a hit and we were surprised at the number of black porgy.
Although I caught a few, most of the bites were on the bottom, and the tide was complicated and changed every time, so I never got bored of casting.
I was able to fish for a day.
We were satisfied with the catch, 40 fish up to 12cm in length, and although the size wasn't great, I think it's a good place if you're just looking to catch black porgy.
We caught about 50 fish in total and had fun fishing until 15pm.
July 28th - Tate Ichimonji
This time, three of us went fishing at our usual vertical fishing spot.
A new perverted young man joined us on our fishing trip last week, and after experiencing Ichimonji for the first time, he became addicted.
He said he wanted to go again, so I accompanied him and had a great time.
However, the perverted young man was subjected to a harsh baptism of Ichimonji until the evening, and was defeated, vowing to get revenge!
It was humid from the morning, and with no wind, I was sweating profusely.
The black porgy was in a bad mood today again and was not biting very much.
The rare, extremely strong current made it difficult to control the equipment, and the situation was so tough that it can only be described as "This is Ichimonji".
Despite the extremely strong current, I managed to get a bite about an hour after I started and caught a fish that was about 1cm.
After that, I managed to catch another 30cm (frog flounder) when the tide was not good for fishing. I released it!
As the afternoon drew on, the tide began to change and Ono, who was fishing next to me, got a hit, managing to catch something about 45cm.
Just before finishing the fishing, I caught another fish over 40cm and called it a day, finishing with another three fish.
Perhaps he woke up after seeing that, because Ono next to me got the last pick. It looks big!
After a careful fight, what came up was a black porgy with a size of 51cm. A fish over 50cm in Ichimonji.
The time was up here, and the three of us had fun until 15 p.m.
