This time, I went to Akime in search of long-tailed largescale blackfish during the rainy season, and was assisted by Yukimaru.

The rapids we descended to are known as "Zero Ana," a spot with a good track record for catching long-tailed largescale blackfish. The water here is apparently deep, and according to the captain, if you cast ahead it's at least 20m deep. With the famous reef "Nishinozume" visible to the right, it's a fishing spot that looks likely to be teeming with fish.
I'll do my best to catch a large longtail!

The ground bait is made up of 8 slices of raw and boiled krill, one block each.
The ``Bakutobi Master Grey'' is blended with the ``G-MAX'', which sinks on a slope to appeal to fish, with an emphasis on long-distance casting, and the ``Hyper Grey Z'' is prepared as a backup.
"Hyper Grey Z" increases the amount of ground bait with water, so it's bulky.
Long-distance casting ability◎
Easy to adjust its firmness when the ground bait becomes soggy due to rain or waves.
This is a recommended fish attractant!

For the bait, we have prepared ``Namaikikun forpro L'' and ``Namaikikun half-boiled L''.

Fishing Rig
Start with a size 0 float, size 3 line, size 5 leader, and size 9 long tail hook.

When I scattered the ground bait, the sea became filled with small largescale blackfish and Indo-Pacific sergeant, and it feels like a summer sea.

Early in the morning, I started fishing at a depth of one rod, targeting the floating long-tailed largescale blackfish with a float attached to the line.
There are a lot of bait-stealers, so the bait is "Half-boiled Nama Ikikun"
Using my ground bait effect to skillfully dodge the bait-stealers...it's a hit!
It is a 40cm long sea chub. The next one is also a sea chub...

While this situation continued, the early morning chance time ended!
I droped the rig size to No. 4 line and No. 7 hook.
I decided to aim for the bubble pool near the waterway on the right side.
Then, I felt a strong pull on the rod and let out the line, and the fish went under the roots and got away...
Then there was a strong bite! Next, I pulled it close to my feet, but it got stuck on the roots again? It got away. I don't know what it was, but it was disappointing!
After that, I caught some striped bonito and black spotted snapper, but I couldn't catch the main target.

Before I knew it, it was already afternoon
Since I wanted to get a souvenir, I changed to No. 2 line and No. 6 gre hook, and tried to catch a largescale blackfish using the "Namaiki-kun for PRO" bait.
I cast the bait into the slowly flowing current to the left and it flied far away! As I cast the bait...
The float slowly sank and then accelerated.
The fish that came up without difficulty was a 37cm largescale blackfish.
"I guess you can catch fish with thin tackle after all."
I put my heart into it and cast the same line, and got a bite!
When I endured a sharp thrust, the eye part was cut...
It might have been a long tailed largescale blackfish...
I changed my hook to an onaga hook, but I didn't catch anything after that so I had to call it a day.

I'd like to somehow catch a longtail of a satisfying size during this rainy season.
