[Oita Prefecture Tsukumi IG Marine Chinu Challenge] Takahashi

【大分県 津久見 IGマリン チヌチャレンジ】高橋

May 12th: Sunday, the last day of Golden Week, and unfortunately the forecast is for rain.
In Oita Prefecture, three of us went fishing to IG Marine in Tsukumi looking for Chinook.
As rain was forecast for the morning, we took precautions against the rain and left the port just after 6am.
This time, I dropped off the two people who accompanied me first and waded alone to the reef I was aiming for.
The rock we landed on had poor footing, except for the one with a boat, and the favorite fishing spot required time to prepare, so we decided to go with a boat.I set up my fishing seat and started fishing at 7 AM. (It looks like it's going to rain, but it hasn't rained yet.)
Depending on the point you are aiming for, this rocky shore is deep (about 15m or more) and you can scatter bait somewhere around 20m to 25m.The ones that make points and bend the rod are the bait-catching pufferfish, sparrows, wrasse, hogo, baldfish, and horsefish.
When the fish are moving, I'm happy even though I'm not a favorite.
Around 9 AM, I caught a pick of which seemed to be my main target just before the high tide stopped, but it was a golden threadfin bream about 40 centimeters long.Next, a 45 cm long golden thread appeared in succession.

Just when a divine tide that looked like some fish can be caught came in for a moment, the line stretched out and it looked like my target black sea bream. (It was a frog-flounder)It floated to the surface of the sea. 35-38 cm.
I kept it for the time being, and after that, although there was a pick like a black sea bream, it didn't catch the hook, and some horse mackerel also appeared.Only time passes.
The rain started after 9am and continued to fall until the end of the day.
Now, the time is around noon, and I'm entering the second half of the game. I attacked in every way possible, but there was no contact from a black sea bream.Around 2:00 PM (1 hour before the end), the tide that I've been waiting for came in just before the low tide ends.
Mustering up the last of my strength before the end, I concentrated on casting the chum and waited for a pick.
When I raised the rig, there was a scorpion fish...! Even in the next throw, there was a scorpion fish...two in a row!
I didn't know if I got a pick, so I changed the rig a little, got a good pick with the next cast, and managed to secure a well-shaped fish.No need to worry because the size was about 50 cm.
However, I always end up thinking afterwards that I should have changed the rig a little earlier.
The time to put away the rod is approaching, and I made the last cast around 3pm. While moving the bait and retrieving it, the main line bounced, then I caught a 45 centimeter long black sea bream and called it a day.
Went back to the port and weighed the fish, I had a total of 3 pieces of MAX 49.2cm - 1800g, and was able to do a second black sea bream entry, so it was a good fishing trip.
Captain Inokuma, thank you for leaving the port in the rain.
Thank you to everyone who accompanied me.
