First fishing trip was for black porgy at Hirose breakwater! Sakawa

The first fishing trip of the year was black porgy fishing on the breakwater at Hirose in Kirishima city!
February 25th was my first fishing day of the year.
My destination was the embankment at Hirose in Kirishima City.
Kagoshima Prefecture is in the midst of its second cold wave, with snow in some areas the day before yesterday and temperatures below freezing in many places today as well.I thought that fishing would be tough with the dropping water temperature, but since I had the day off, I decided to put out my fishing rod.
For the bait, I mixed some frozen bait left over from a previous black porgy fishing trip with Sokozeme Zudon and Oreno Chinu, and adjusted the hardness with bran.
The bait I have prepared are Sashiesa PRO L size, Meccha-kuu series, corn, Twin Pack PRO, and ML size.

After I finished preparing the ground bait and was about to start spreading it, I realized I had forgotten my ladle, so I headed to the fishing tackle shop!
I bought a cheap ladle, returned to the fishing spot, and started spreading ground bait, but the cup was heavy, the shaft was floppy and the grip was short, making it awful to use.
Also, due to the southeast wind, the ground bait didn't fly as expected, which frustrated me, but I continued to prepare my fishing gear while scattering the ground bait.
Using a size 00 float, 1.5 number line and a size 2 hook, I finally started fishing.
I tried rotating the bait between krill, Sashiesa PRO, and dough bait, but it always ended up being left over.
Also, the remaining bait is cold.
The tide and wind were going in the opposite direction, so I thought the bait wouldn't be going in well, so I changed the float to 000, but the situation didn't change.
I changed the leader to 1.25, attached a No. 5 lead sinker, and made other adjustments, but the situation did not change.
After that, the wind changed to the south, and the headwind made it difficult to scatter bait.
Later, when the wind changed to a westerly direction, I moved to the end of the breakwater, but the wind gradually got stronger and waves started to appear, making the situation even more difficult!
"It might be a blank today."
I was in half-giving up mode.
Still, since it was my first time fishing, I decided to keep trying until the ground bait ran out. With the help of a tailwind, I was able to control the bait somewhat, using a combination of near and far distances and throwing my tackle in. After a few casts, the krill bait I was using was taken, so I decided to focus on krill as my main bait.
I also mixed some krill into the ground bait a few at a time, casting it closer, then medium and then far, and then casting the rig even farther due to the weight of the float and the tailwind, and reeled the line of bait in from offshore, gradually giving it tension towards the shore, and as I reeled it in with the image of matching it with the ground bait, the soft tip of the rod caught a bite that was different from before, and as I slowly reeled it in a little at a time, the bait came up on the rod, so I set the hook and started the fight.
It was heavy and after carefully dealing with the occasional shaking of the neck, a pull typical of black porgy, I managed to catch it safely in the dip net - it was a black porgy about 40cm long!
Despite the difficult circumstances, I managed to catch a black porgy.
"I'm glad I didn't give up"
I thought this in my heart, and at the same time I was relieved that it wasn't a blank.
As I continued to cast the last bit of bait, there was no reaction from anything, and when the bait ran out, I washed off the dirty fishing spot and called it a day.
Here are a few more tips for your next fishing trip.
