The peak of the spawning season for black porgy

4 Mon 17 Sun Thursday
Following on from the previous day, we went out to pier to fish for black porgy.
Yesterday the swell was slightly high, and today there was a strong southerly wind from the afternoon onwards, so I considered going to the rocks, but both the day before and today I gave up on going to the rocks.
In the Osaka and Wakayama areas, this month is the peak season for spawning black porgy.
If I continue like this, the season will pass by, so I will endure the pier chinu fukashi yesterday. I ended up with 7 fish the day before.
The catch was a little far from what you would expect from the keyword ``spawning season.''
As a revenge, I planned to wake up at 4am and cast my fishing rod as the sunrise began.
The battle will continue until a strong southerly wind blows.
Yesterday there was a good response to the Hirokyu Namaikikun Yellow, but today the krill-like creatures were instantly killed by the bait-stealers.
Even Hirokyu's boiled krill did not hold the bait well, so I decided that it was a waste of time to cast an empty hook.
A No. 3 chinu hook will hold the hook in place with 3 to 4 grains of corn, so just one corn will do the trick!
I should have brought some bait with me.
The surface is chaotic with a horde of mullets, but you can easily avoid them by using Drop Lead 5B.
If you wait until the 5B has settled in before casting the bait, you can avoid getting the mullet caught.
Cast a huge amount of bait on a vertical line in front of your fishing spot, and when you feel a black porgy approach, reduce the number of bait drops and time it exactly where you want it!
It was almost like an eating frenzy!!
I thought it was over 50cm, but it was a little cut off...
49cm... What a shame.
Without opening the package of Hirokyu fish attractant ``My Chinu'' that I had brought with me as a spare.
Hirokyu fish attractants "Raw Black Sea Bream Chrysalis" and "Black Porgy Smoke Screen" were enough for me!
The spray started around noon, so we did some simple cleaning and released all the black porgy after taking photos.
The finished product has been delivered.
