Preparation for the Shimano JAPAN CUP Black Porgy Amakusa Tournament
For my preparations for the Shimano JAPAN CUP Black Porgy Amakusa Tournament to be held on March 21st and 22nd,
On the 20th, we were taken care of by Ryoriyokumaru in Matsushima.
This is the first time I've been to this field in two years, and previous information has said it's going to be quite tough.
For now, I'll go to a place called Nakajima Island!
After deciding on a fishing spot and checking the tide flow, the upper tide was flowing to the right and the bottom tide was strong, making it quite difficult to fish.
Under these conditions Hirokyu's blended materials were certainly attracting the fish, but my lack of technique held me back. Although I was getting bites, I just couldn't hook them, and time just passed by, so I decided to move to another location.
The next place we went up to was the tip of Funato Island.
There was a pearl raft in front of me, and I could only stay here for two hours so I started fishing immediately. The tide was flowing strong here as well, but since it wasn't a double tide it was easy to set my fishing gear in.
I tried various baits but the fish wouldn't bite the paste bait, so I changed it to shrimp-soaked meat and managed to catch one fish, although it was small. After that, there were no more bites and the time was up.
The next day's tournament will probably be tough, but the blended material will definitely attract the black porgy, so the rest will depend on my skill.
