On December 8th, I went to the embankment in Kirishima City.

The temperature in Kagoshima has dropped sharply since December. The maximum temperature on this day was around 10°C, and the northwest wind made it feel even colder.

Mr. Shinmasu, a field tester who knows the area very well, accompanied us and gave us lots of advice.

The new product Great Grey used this time had good consistency and allowed me to accurately cast the bait at the target point. It is made of yellow barley, green barley (small grains) and red bread crumbs, making it visually appealing.

By the time high tide hit just after 12 o'clock, many small-sized largescale blackfish and black porgy attracted to the ground bait were feeding like crazy. I waited patiently until the ebb tide and played with them.

Meanwhile the ebb tide began to move, and as the outgoing tide flowing from the harbor out to sea collided with the outgoing tide flowing outside the harbor, a current rip began to form.

During this chance time, the size of the largescale blackfish increased to 30, 32, and 34 cm.

I was excited and hoping to catch a 40cm fish.

Then, I got the biggest pull of the day with a heavy fish, but it hid in the caisson at my feet and the line broke. I was hesitant to take the big one that suddenly bit. What a shame...

I regained my composure and concentrated on fishing, and finally caught a 37cm sea bream. I was relieved to finally catch a fish of a satisfactory size just before the end of the fishing day.

A strong northwest wind blew throughout the day.By adjusting the moisture content of the bait and kneading it well, I was able to cast it into the desired spot without giving in to the wind.
