Struggled against small fish but caught a 40cm-over black porgy Hanadō

On June 29th, I was excited to go in search of rainy season largescale blackfish by car, but... The water at the planned spot was brown and murky because of the muddy river water flowing in due to the continuous rain. "It's going to be hard to catch largescale blackfish like this," I thought, so I drove off in search of a new spot.
I stopped at two or three fishing spots, but the water was still murky, and finally, at the fourth spot, I found a spot with less murkiness. After about an hour of fishing, I finally arrived at the tetrapod zone in Fukuyama-cho, Kirishima City.
This time I mixed 3kg of Bakutobi Master Gure and G-MAX, which are blends for largescale blackfish, with 1.5kg of Kizamikko.
For the bait, I prepared Namaikikun Pro and Mukimi.
When I started fishing, the ebb tide was moving, and the water gradually became clearer, and palm-sized largescale blackfish became very active. I tried adjusting the float and timing with the bait in an attempt to catch bigger fish, but I struggled to catch any.
Meanwhile, the rising tide started to move and the seawater became more murky. The excitement of the small fish dropped and it went quiet.
So I decided to focus on one spot and try to catch black porgy by casting a lot of bait there. I stuck a Nama iki-kun Mukimi bait on the hook so that it would stand out even in the murky water.
The bait remained on the first, second, and third casts. Just as I was thinking, "It might be tough to catch a black porgy," I got the long-awaited bite on the fourth cast. The line was pulled with a jerk and stopped immediately, and a few seconds later it started to run away, flicking out of the reel that had been set in an open bail. It ran farther and farther out to sea with such force that I wondered if it was a red sea bream, giving me great fun.
Finally, I caught a 44cm black porgy in the dip net.
I was very happy to catch the fish I had been aiming for, but after this fish, heavy rain started falling, as if telling me to go home in a hurry, so I called it a day. What a shame...
One of the joys of fishing is trying to catch different fish depending on the changing conditions. I'll try my best next time!
