New fishing experience for black porgy with my club juniors! Kamikihara

On June 22nd, I went to Ibusuki Fishing Port in Kagoshima with my junior club member Aiko to explore new areas for black porgy fishing.

Heavy rain was forecast for the morning so we gathered at the location a little later at 9:45am.
We started fishing at 10:30.
Since we were going to do it anyway, we decided to make it a tournament format, so we started fishing in battle mode with our junior.

This time we'll be attacking the bottom with one corner of krill!We'll use one bag each of Zudon and Chinu Smokebaku.
This is the standard specification these days. For the bait, I prepared Nama PRO L, pickled shrimp meat, and the Meccha Kuu series corn. I also brought some canned corn that I had at home without telling my wife.

We started the 150-minute half-match with great enthusiasm, but in the first half I only caught one baby orange spotted grouper. After that, I was left exposed to the wind and rain.

Although it was tough, Aiko caught two black porgy in the first half. Hmmmm... Good job Aiko!

At 13:00, we changed fishing spots and cast further out to see what would happen, but pufferfish started to appear, so we gave up on fishing offshore and decided to aim near the gap in the caisson closer to our shore.
In fact, I had noticed that the second fish Aiko caught was hooked close to me, so I had a vague idea that I couldn't overlook the fish there.

I put the bait in close to the shore and found a largescale blackfish, then I put it a little further out and found another largescale blackfish three times. I found a spot where they weren't biting, then I let the bait sink slowly and searched for the bait, and at around 2pm the float disappeared with a bang!

Since it was a No. 0 rod, I ended up running around more than the black porgy, but I still managed to land the fish with the dip net.
At 14:08, I added another fish with the same way and finally caught up with my junior. I'm feeling good!

From here until 15:30 p.m., my junior would catch fish and I would catch up, and we finished fishing at 15:30 p.m.
My last fish was caught 20 minutes before the end.

We each caught four fish, and the weighing showed that I won with a score of 6470g to 5890g.
Aiko was strong, but I managed to save face as a senior.
In fact, this weight is quite impressive for four fish each.

My junior was only using dough bait, while I was rotating the bait among raw krill, dough bait, corn, shrimp meat, but the difference in the size of the black porgy we caught may have been due to the rotation.

The new venture was a great success.
