On December 30th, I participated in the Aitsuumi Year-End Fishing Tournament held in Funama, Osumi Peninsula, Kagoshima Prefecture. This time, eight people, including an observer, competed for the weight of three black porgy. We boarded the ferry Jimimaru and set sail just after 7:30 AM. On December 8th, I went fishing for black porgy aboard the Jimi Maru in Funama, Osumi Peninsula. Initially, I planned to go to Torishima Island No. 4, but due to swells, I had to give up! Then, I went to Hachigase! The footing was poor, and I had never had a good experience there, so I wondered what would happen. This time, the swell swept away my fishing bucket, and while retrieving the black porgy I had been keeping alive in the tight pool, I slipped and my boots got soaked. To top it off, I cut my hand on an oyster. It was a complete disaster!
